The University of Warwick Men’s Hockey Club and University of Warwick Women’s Hockey Club are two of the most prominent sports clubs at Warwick University with over 230 members combined. Our Women’s and Men’s clubs are both high performance sports, competing at a high level in both BUCS and Saturday leagues. We have 10 teams between the Men’s and Women’s club so we really do cater for players of every level, from Elite international level players all the way to total beginners.
As high performance sports clubs, we offer strength and conditioning plans to our top athletes and receive extra funding from the university sporting body to support players across both of our clubs.
Although we are fast progressing as clubs that are serious about the development of Elite performance within our sport, enjoyment and inclusivity are values that lie at the core of our clubs. Exciting and fast paced socials are held every week without fail, with events including Circling & POP amongst many others. Many of our socials are joint with the opposite club so you will have plenty of opportunities to get to know everyone across the men’s and women’s sections. The high connectivity between our two clubs allows us to offer one of the best ways to meet new people within Warwick University, in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Yes absolutely! Both our Men’s and Women’s sections offer development teams that cater to beginners. These teams are typically more relaxed so you can focus on having a laugh and a good time. You can even join if you would prefer to just come to the socials!

To join simply follow the links to the respective Women’s and Men’s sections below. This will take you to the SU areas for our clubs. From there you will need to get both the sports federation membership and the club membership. If you already have the sports federation membership it only costs £6 to join us!
We will also be attending the sports fair during welcome week as well as holding our own meet the exec events as well as twister sessions. So make sure you come along to see what we are all about.

The University of Warwick hockey club is by far one of the best clubs on campus. we have some of the liveliest socials and one of, if not the largest, combined memberships of all of the sports clubs at Warwick.
The men’s and women’s sections combine regularly for socials and for special hockey events like our annual charity tournament. Whatever section you join you are guaranteed to get to know everyone in the club.
Joining a sports club at Warwick and more specifically, the hockey club, is one of the best decisions you will make. It gives you the chance to meet outgoing and interesting people as well as opening the doors to take part in a number of exciting events.
