President: Cat Killeen (she/her)
Team and position: 1s Defender
What is your role?
I oversee the running of the entire women’s hockey club. From communicating with Warwick Sport and the Student Union, to chairing weekly exec meetings, to supporting the other exec members in their roles. Essentially sorting out all the hockey admin to ensure smooth running of a high performance club with a thriving social scene.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing about UWWHC is how warm and welcoming the club is. I have met my best friends either on the pitch or at a hockey social!

Vice President: Darcey Coates (she/her)
Team and position: 2s defence
What is your role?
As Vice President I act as Alumni and Fresher liaison, as well as one of the main organisers for the Christmas Meal and Hockey Ball! I also support Cat, our President, in making decisions to benefit the club and it’s members
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
The confidence it has given me to explore other aspects of University. I have made so many friends through hockey and this has encouraged me to discover and enjoy University much more than I would have without the support of these friendships!

Club Captain: Nika Bezchi (she/her)
Team and position: 1s forward
What is your role?
I organise the on pitch hockey and make sure training sessions, trials and other team related events happen smoothly
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
The amazing friendships I have made!! I also love that I’ve been able to continue playing hockey against other universities and local clubs.

Treasurer: Ysobel Henriques (she/her)
Team and position: 2s forward
What is your role?
As treasurer I oversee all the finances for the club, including sponsorship, fees and payments for tours and balls etc. My aim is to try and make fees for members as low as possible to allow for the club to be accessible to everyone while making sure we are financially stable!
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing about UWWHC is the socials, it’s a chance to have fun and get to know lots of different people in the club!

1s Captain: Eve Naylor (she/her)
Team and position: 1s midfield
What is your role?
For my role I captain the first team which means leading the team on game days - the warm up, team talks, line up and in trainings to make sure everyone is training with the right intensity. For matches I pick the team with the help of our coach and send out team sheets.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
What I enjoy the most about being a part of UWWHC is the competitive but enjoyable environment it provides. While playing matches together with an ambitious group attitude, we can then celebrate each teams’ success afterwards as a whole club, giving us opportunities to meet new people and enjoy the social side of the club.

2s Captain: Charlotte Heald (she/her)
Team and position: 2s defence
What is your role?
As the 2XI Captain I am involved in match days, training nights and fitness sessions. Within this my role varies from admin, providing half time sweets and motivation and promoting overall team spirit and player participation. Organising team socials is also a vital part of achieving this beyond the pitch!
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing about UWWHC is the friends I have made, not just from this club but also through socials with other clubs and the support and advice which I have received from the older years!

3s Captain: Ester Ball-Iversen (she/her)
Team and position: 3rd team centre back/left defence
What is your role?
As captain of the 3rd team it is my job first to be an example of the standard of what is expected as a member of the 3s, and act as a friendly and welcoming face to all team members. I organise team sheets for BUCS matches and Saturday league and manage my team while we’re there. I work with our coach to see what we should focus on in training and any new strategies we could try. I also organise fun team socials each term for members to have fun outside of training!
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing about UWWHC is how inclusive the club is and how friendly and welcoming the members are.

4s Captain: Erin Brajou (she/her)
Team and position: 4s forward/mid
What is your role?
My job as 4s captain is to deal with all the admin of the team such as teamsheets for Saturday league matches or organising training with our coach. We work closely to ensure everyone’s engagement in the team’s progress. I also make sure you are comfortable in the team while giving you the best conditions to improve and enjoy yourself! I take care of organising lovely socials during term so everyone feels welcomed and bond outside of hockey!
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
What I love the most about UWWHC is how welcoming and supportive everyone was when I started. It also gives good breaks during the week which allowed me to meet some amazing people!

5s Captain: Harriet Nicholl (she/her)
Team and Position: 4s Midfielder
What is your role?
As 5s captain my aim is to support and help those who want to play hockey before but have never tried it. I want to help integrate them into the club and create a safe and comfortable environment for people to come together and try something new. I also organise team socials and work with the 4s captain to get the beginners some match play.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
I love playing friendly matches against other Warwick teams such as Mixed Hockey and the beginner friendly training for those who have never played hockey before!

Social Secretary: Rosie Palk (she/her)
Team and position: 2s defence/midfield
What is your role?
Socials are a huge part of UWWHC and a great way to get to know the rest of the club. As social sec, alongside Ruby, I organise and run the club socials while having lots of fun. I help run circles, organise bar crawls and so much more.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
I love that hockey at Warwick brings people together from all different backgrounds and parts of the UK and the world because now I get to go on road trips around the UK visiting my friends :)

Social Secretary: Ruby Atack (she/her)
Team and position: 2s forward
What is your role?
As social secs me and Rosie are in charge of Circle on Wednesday’s and sober socials. We also organise bar crawls, joint circles with other clubs. I am also a friendly face in and out of circle for freshers and everyone else.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing about the club alongside playing hockey is the friendships I have made from it. Spending so much time at training, at matches and at socials together means everyone gets super close and it has made my uni experience so much better, especially when settling in a the start of the year!

Welfare: Evie Callaghan (she/her)
Team and position: 2s defence/ midfield
What is your role?
As welfare, feel free to come to me if you ever need a chat - I am here if you have any questions or queries! If freshers need anything I am always available. My main job is to keep UWWHC a safe and comfortable place where everyone has fun and makes memories!
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite part of UWWHC is the community you instantly feel a part of. The camaraderie and welcoming nature of the club has helped me make some of my closest friends. It is a place where close bonds and the best memories are made both on and off the pitch!

Charities: Ellen Ward (she/her)
Team and position: 1s defence/midfield
What is your role?
As charities sec I am in charge of all of the charity events that take place over the year, working towards raising money for a local and national charity. Some events include our Charity Tournament, the Christmas Charity Quiz and other events in Charity Fortnight!
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
I love how inclusive and welcoming the club is. Making friends was something that I was nervous about but the club helped me to build connections with freshers and other years, helping me feel supported and at home when starting Uni. It gives a really good balance between fun socials and more intense training/matches.

Communications Secretary: Kira McFaull (she/her)
Team and position: 2s midfield
What is your role?
As comms, I run the club’s social media accounts and website. I also make sponsorship and fresher packs and weekly and termly calendars so everyone knows what’s happening in the club. I also get to capture memorable moments ;) at circle on snapchat for everyone to look back on the next day.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
I love everything about being a UWWHC member, from getting to play matches with my team every week to the amazing socials organised by our social secs. I have made so many good memories and friends through the club and can’t wait to make more!

Tour Secretary: Becca Eaglesham (she/her)
Team and position: 4s defence
What is your role?
As tour sec my role is to plan and organise a domestic tour for the women’s and men’s clubs at the end of term 1, and then a women’s only foreign tour at the end of term 3. I also organise preseason tour and socials for the exec.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing at UWWHC is definitely the socials as they’re super fun and unique to Warwick. You get the opportunity to meet people from all different teams and it’s where I’ve met some of my closest friends!

Fixtures Secretary: Emily Ardus (she/her)
Team and position: 3s screen
What is your role?
As Fixtures Secretary I organize everything related to fixtures – from booking pitches for training and matches to organising match teams for all home games.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
My favourite thing about UWWHC is all the amazing people I’ve met through the club that have become some of my best friends.

Match Secretary: Faye Williams (she/her)
Team and position: 1st team forward
What is your role?
My job is primarily supplying kit and organising umpires for our matches. As a club we love to get as many people licenced as umpires to help your game grow.
What is your favourite thing about UWWHC?
Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, right from when I joined in preseason. The socials are so fun and I’ve made some of my closest friends in the club!
